There's a new Steam game called Rusty Hearts which has been released today - a vampire based f2p MMORPG with a manga feel to it. I'm currently downloading it, it looks like it could be quite fun. Also, DC Universe Online is becoming f2p on both PSN AND PC, with cross-platform servers, on the 20th October. Anyone interested in that one? I'm definitely going to download it! I played a friend's copy and it was really fun

I'm generally not an MMO fan - not because I don't like playing with people, but because my schedule is generally all over the place, I don't have time to sit down and play when other people might. However, I think Rusty Hearts could be quite awesome. As for DCUO, I KNOW a ton of my friends are getting it/already have it, so I should be in luck there.

Rusty Hearts looks nice; I might give it a go. But you know what else is free, Spiral Knights ¬_¬
Isn't DCUO a retail game? And now it is going to be free on psn? Subscription after a certain period?

Lol, I know Spiral Knights is! I promise when I have a better internet connection I'll start playing. Unfortunately, it keeps dropping me =/ And DCUO is going to be free on PSN. Completely free. Free to download, free to play. If you spend $5 (about £3.20) on in-game items, you get upgraded to the next level, which adds lots more character/inventory/money slots and if you think you'll play it a lot, probably worth it. If you want the full game/all dlc free, then you have to subscribe 9.99 a month or buy a lifetime subscription. But what you get for free is the whole base game, two characters and a decent inventory/money allowance.

OMG that looks amazing Always like cel-shaded graphics in a game. Il give it a try. Whats DCUO btw? Quite old but has anyone tried S4? pretty fun fast pace shooter with also a anime-ish look. I would recommend that and Megaten as my two F2P MMO's

DC Universe Online. You get to be a superhero! FFXIV is still free, i think... (expect initial retail purchase). It is for now, but as soon as they believe it's worthy of charging again, they're going to reintroduce subscriptions. It's only because they put out half a game when they released it ¬_¬

Also, I'm going to include Facebook games and the like too. I'm addicted to The Sims Social! I don't think I would be if I didn't have many friends playing, but quite a lot are so I can actually get quests done ^^

EPIC FAIL xD everyone told the developers that stupid "buy hours" was not going to work again in beta and not told it was going f2p ¬_¬" do you know how bad it plays on my laptop xD very demanding game Realtime World went down because it was no success. GamersFirst took over and made it f2p with micropayments. The game may be demanding but the physics are fun! Only thing real bad about the game is the hackers. They even pay for hacks and everyone is accusing everyone of being a hacker. I even got accused after just one kill. But when you are up against a hacker it's no fun. And there are people who get premium accounts (monthly payment to get xp+money bonus) buy premium weapons (like AK47 with scope) for like $50 for just one weapon and than they may even use bought hacks... What I really like about the game is the possibility to create logos and music with their ingame editors. I made myself an itasha. Need to post a screenshot.
