MNC had actually gone free to play a long while back! store.steampowered.com/video/104700/81644?snr=1_4_4__107_1I really did not know, did hear of the declining online players but never would of thought f2p MNC is sort of tf2 but not nearly as half as good, still, it's new and shiny and free.

Actually that's the sequel Super Monday Night Combat. Apparently they just made it more DOTA than the previous one.

Beta signups for Planet Side 2 -fps mmo www.planetside2.com/It seems intriguing. Actually that's the sequel Super Monday Night Combat. Apparently they just made it more DOTA than the previous one. Sequel as in a new game? cos i thought it was just rebranded/updated to "super" control feel clunky from what i remember, though they made right decision to make it free.

Brand new, built from the ground up to be F2P. Has new classes and all the maps now have a "jungle" which is some sort of DOTA thing I guess.

everything becomes free2play. it's the new pricing model of the industry. Next time you order a game online you will see an estimated average price of the shop items

Black Mesa isn't "out" out. As far as I'm aware it wont be hitting steam until it's finished, as right now Xen is missing.

It IS "out" out (http://release.blackmesasource.com/) just not part of steam officially (official achievements, automated updates/download) after install it appears as a shortcut in your steam library lol, so yeh, play it.
Given it a go and I like it, except constant fps drop and the crowbar animation is a bit messed up.

It's not "out" out because it isn't finished:
"Play for FREE! You need not purchase anything! 8-10 Hours of single-player gameplay, up to the Lambda Core chapter."
I know Xen isn't popular but it's still part of Half-Life!
I'm in no rush to play it though, Guild Wars 2 is taking all my gaming time. Hopefully when I'm done with that the full release will be ready.

Reknoc: I thoroughly disagree, edit: Decided to delete rest of my reply as frankly I'm not being pulled into thread derailing. It's Greenlighted for steam. End. Load out beta www.loadout.com/ Liked the review it had, manly cartoon foolery with GUNS, MANY GUNS, MANY MANY etc it's niche factor is that you can create your own gun, just signed up to beta.
