Okay, this thread might be more or less pointless, but well... You know that I'm a nice person and that I have a way different look onto games then most other players.
Anyone who is intrested in learning my opinion about a game (or more) or even learning something about the fair in general (and it's surroundings): feel free to ask.
However, you should be aware of the following: I've only checked out games appearing for Sony (PS3/PS4) and I haven't seen as much as I wanted cause Cologne killed the GC for me completely. This was officially my last year ever ...
Okay, I'm not expecting much replies at all, so back to my initial statement I guess. J

Most importantly: why did cologne kill GC for you? xD
I'd be interested on your opinion on Dying Light, but only if you actually played to game. Does it feel like Dead Island? Was it good or bad?
How did you feel about all the new games? I have the feeling that every game they showed just were phoney. Like Watch_Dogs, which looked to me like a troughout scripted game with interesting actions which you actually never use when you really play the game. Or The Division which looked pretty good but didn't show me what's beside shooting.
Did you see any Deep Dawn gameplay?

Because Cologne Fair centre is waaaaayyyyyy worser then the one in Leipzig. While Leipzig only has one huge entrance (with more then enough entry points to handle masses) does Cologne have 4 smaller entrances with less entry points. We didn't had problems on the first day (Entrance East), but on the second day were we lured to a side entrance for "visitors owning valid tickets" - so, well, we went to this entrance, actually where pretty close to the entry points, but ..... we had to wait low 100 minutes to pass the entry point and reach the inside.
I'm used to wait up to 3 hours to see a game - but 100 minutes to just enter is a no go. And now think how long had the ones behind us waited to enter? 6 entry points for several thousands of visitors with valid tickets .... I'm done with the GC as long as it will be in Cologne. Back in Leipzig was everything better ...
Actually haven't I seen a game named "Dying Light". But we shortend our time by one and an half day because of our day 2 experience.
Regarding "Watch Dogs" am I pretty positive poled. It's one of the upcomming open world games I'm really intrested in. I wouldn't call it scripted - and the ways you can play depend on the way you skill your character. But I'm waiting to build to final opinion til close to release, cause I might be influenced by the fact that I'm kinda hyped for that game.
Regarding "TC's: The Division" (it was judged as best game of GC 2013 while we waited for it - there might be even a picture somewhere online showing one of the officials, holding a sign, sitting in front of me and my friend. I haven't found it yet, tho *shrugs*) am I a bit unsure. My friend wanted to see it and I can understand why. The story is realistic (New York fell to a flu epidemy and into chaos) and the players are fighting not only for survival, but to restore order in NY (kind of). It's a solid TPS duck and cover shooter gameplay wise. But completely build as MMO with an open world. You can team up with other players for quests which you can do in no particular order. The characters have RPG level and skill systems - and due to the open world MMO TPS setting can everyone be your enemy. We got 2 videos regarding the background/gameplay, got to see the E3 gameplay trailer and also were shown a live performed presentation of the game, including one joining the players via the tablet app as support drone. It does look that quests are instanced, that you won't get interrupted by enemy players while doing them - but as soon you are done do you need an extraction which can lure enemy players to your position.
I haven't heard about that game til I saw it there. It does look really intresting.
