Am I getting this right? I pay for plus and get games for "free" and after my subscription ends I can't use those "free" games anymore (or they revert back to trail-version)?

Right, anything you get for free is reverted back to trial or locked out (or removed?) until you become a PSN+ member again. I think there are some free goodies you keep though.

As far as I'm informed: yes. You'll loose acces to all games they gave you monthly for free (including Minis and PSX classics). You are still able to use avatars and designs. You can also still use all games you bought for a PS+ reduced price (cause you bought them).
But I personally don't care that I can't play the free games anymore when my PS+ runs out of time - cause this won't happen to me *smiles* PS+ is a great deal in my opinion - getting all these games for 50 EUR a year which is why I expand my time each year again.

*giggles* well, it's your own fault for not having expanded your HDD. When my first 60GB PS3 broke have I only gotten a 40GB version (if I recall correctly). That one broke too some day and I got another 40GB one. But 40GB is nothing - especially thinking about games that need between 5 and 10GB for installing (which isn't rare anymore these days). So have I bought a 250GB HDD and built it in. Problem solved *smiles*
