inFAMOUS 2 Hero Edition: The UnboxingVia the link, you will be taken to the Sony's Blog where you will see pictures, pictures, pictures and more pictures of their fantastic collector's edition. But no I'm not interested in that. Tell you what is interesting - the price ($100 - what?) and this. They are sweet and damn right I want to change the look of Cole. I understand why they had to hire a new voice actor. To involve motion capture - Fair enough. Make Cole appear younger - Okay? I was never fond of the deep grumpy voice anyway. But the new outift? The previous one with the jacket was fine. Cover art - TALK TO THE HAND because the face ain't listening! Figure - Small/Cheap doesn't justify overall price. Bag - Could do without. Comic - haven't we seen this before, free on the interwebs? I liked the first one. As for its sequel, I think I will wait. I don't have the urge to preorder it like I did for the first game. I'm not sure if it will live up to what the first has established and if it even has a twist in the end.

You could have listed the thread title as "inFAMOUS 2".
Just saying.

Well, at least is there something inside the CE. I recall the CE for EverQuest 2's latest add-on "Destiny of Velious". It was priced 110 USD/EUR (you could pre-order it within a special time for 90 USD/EUR) and had following things more then the normal add-on (priced somewhere around 50 USD/EUR): - 1 ingame mount - 1 ingame armor set that looks awful (the character looks like an walking iceberg this way) - 1 exclusive ingame house - that actually is just an ingame instance reduced by 2 rooms and reduced by all items in there
If I compare this to the InFamous 2 CE: Good deal for this one here. But I'm not intrested in this game *coughs*

infamous nya nya (2) Reaper looking pretty damn good.....It was hard being goodsided in this game but the powers were more interesting from what i remember, I thought the voice was ok a mediocre 21st century comic hero xD New Cole on the box looks like sam fishers brother after he was beaten up in a bar brawl by drake. Should be a good game still. bigger world, more choices ideally, half of GTA size would be nice xD would of been nice for sony to keep infamous 1 free download and say "hey, redeem infamous 1 for a discount on infamous 2! at half the price" then again, would pretty much butcher the sales xD //THOSE ORBS//

So have any of you guys gotten it yet? My brother got the Hero Edition; the skins are pretty awesome but all the other stuff that comes with it are a bit meh. Game looks damn fun to play though, I haven't touched it yet but I watched my brother play it a little yesterday.

Oh uh Ellis? Now that you mention it, they sound rather similar. ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌ Tbh I can't really form a good opinion since I still need to beat the first one. The plot twists seem pretty outlandish though, even by comic book standards.

Has anyone played the game? I have beaten the good ending and am half way through my evil playthrough.
The game doesn't carry a twist like the first, however it did have a gripping story. Certain character may annoy you (throughout) but I guess she's suppose to and it succeeded. Normal blast now cost energy (it didn't in the 1st one, right?) but once you get past that / leveled up it's fine. I guess it's a way of the game forcing you to use newly developed "amp" melee weapon.
I'm getting use to the voice now. It does seems clearer than Cole's original voice but still sometimes (not just Cole) the characters mumble a lot. I would advice putting subtitles on to avoid missing anything out.
However I still think the tee, tattoo and changing colour depending on your karma is...not very appealing. So I went ahead and bought both the skins. Absolutely love Kessler's outfit. Made some of those cutscenes quite amusing/fitting. The reaper outfit is fairly well made, demonic-like to match Nix (possible companion).
Blast shards hunt is still there, but you will be happy to know it won't be as painful (I'll let you find out for yourself) Dead drops aren't guided to anymore, but there aren't a lot of them so no trouble there.
The game still forces you to do stunts (in order to unlock powers for purchase) but they're very easy to do.
Edit: Okay now that I've beaten both sides of the story. Here are some afterthoughts.
The good side's ending is touching but I think the evil ending has more of an impact.
For powers, both sides feel pretty balanced. While most of the ice power is relatively weak, the ice launch power is very handy to help you get around before you get the lightning tether (webslinger ability), and the electric shield from the last game is now an ice shield which is a life saver.
The opposite to the ice launch is the firebird strike power which doesn't get you anywhere and consumes energy. But all the other powers are very powerful and good for crowd control.
I don't know if it's just me, but I miss the targets half the time with the normal blast shots, so with the scythe shot / scythe rocket (where you shoot an horizontal line) it's almost guaranteed you'll hit your target.
Another power I like from the dark fire side is the nightmare blast which is a type of the air blast (that sends enemies flying). It pushes them back and distracts them. Very helpful in dealing with shotgun ice soldiers who charges at you at super speed and shotgun you in the face. Not enough the ice shield can block it.
