Cool beans. Hopefully in 10 years we'll get Dragon Ball and 20 years we'll get Kai!

Not on DVD. It aired on TV (Ocean Group dub) as wall as Dragon Ball and GT. However never released on DVD, only a couple of movies made it (Tree of Might aaaand Worlds Strongest?).

Magazine wise, I came across this, slightly hidden from view www.mymags.net/A new anime magazine! it appears to have just started but Neo actually has competition now in the UK, and that price is a big hitter, no idea content wise. Wouldn't expect much. (would be fantastic to have a magazine that is weeks in front of us)

I might pick up an issue to see what it's like. I'm getting a bit sick of NEO to be honest. I don't want shitty quality cosplay, rubbish about conventions and other articles that focus on fans and "the local scene" in my magazine. I just want news, behind the scenes/series features and reviews.

Surely people know by now whether or not they like Dragonball Z?

Yes but... I wonder how trustworthy a review of DBZ will be... the releases are going to be garbage (judging from the collection they're going for) and I hope the reviews reflect that. Though I'm being unfair, I don't really read anime reviews but considering how often they get retweeted I can't imagine them being anything but asslicking circlejerks.

Yeah, the problem is that distributors are only going to give out review copies if they think they'll get a positive review and folks these days tend to rank "OMG FREE STUFF" as being more important than journalistic integrity. At least you can usually get some plot details out of them and give a fair warning as to if it's a series that's so classy it needs to constantly shove tits and arses in my face.

On the subject of review copies, it shouldn't affect the way you review things, but it will mean a greater presence on the page. Speaking from experience, I am currently swamped with review copies of albums that I feel obliged to do, because if I do it, the site gets bigger. Obviously I refuse to pander to PR companies and will say what I feel, but with their help, my own site is receiving a lot more hits.
