I figure (I hope) there are some Vocaloid fans among us. Discuss your favourite vocaloid and vocaloid songs here. Maybe we can even convert the non believers. I'll get the ball rolling
My favourite vocaloid is Miku. For me she embodies the spirit and everything I love about Anime culture. It's hard to hate something with so many different personalities.. although personally I think Luka, GUMI and Rin have more realistic voices. Also I hate male vocaloids. I can just about stand Len in combination with Rin but other than that it's a no go area for me.
Here's some of my latest favourites:

I have never quite got Vocaloid. It's voice simulation software, right? And each 'voice' is represented by a different character?
I've liked a few songs that have been posted before, and of course EVERYONE knows Miku, but I need more of an introduction to this world!!

I have never quite got Vocaloid. It's voice simulation software, right? And each 'voice' is represented by a different character? I've liked a few songs that have been posted before, and of course EVERYONE knows Miku, but I need more of an introduction to this world!! Yep. And each vocaloid has a different seiyuu who does the original voicing.. from what I understand.. it's mostly to pick up the timbre of the voice, then from that, all of the words and sounds are made artifically by altering the pitch and such. The official vocaloid program isn't free, but there's a free version called UTAU which gave us Vocaloids such as Kasane Teto. Because these are free versions they're often used as the butt of jokes.. such as this song! The first official vocaloid was Meiko, but Crypton, the makers of vocaloid decided she wasn't appealing enough to a younger audience, and thus Miku was born, and vocaloid became popular. Then there's some characters you might hear of such as Yowane Haku, which were born when somebody used Hatsune Miku songs and they turned out poorly, so she was the identity used to scrub off the bad stuff from Hatsune Miku, like a sponge. Now I think she has her own official setting in Miku's voicebank to make 'her' voice. Did I overdo the introduction? XD I got carried away The first video is my favourite lol, its crazy! Are these all fan-made? I only know of the supercell ones and this one a friend sent me LOL, that song.. the lyrics ;_; And yeah. There's a lot of amateur producers, some have gotten a lot of popularity from vocaloid alone, which is great. ryo of Supercell is probably the best known, but there are others who have made stuff of just as good a standard, such as DECO*27, ハチ, 40㍍ & のぼる↑P. I'd recommend pretty much anything by any of those! iLike GLaDOS too *trollface* I searched 'vocaloid glados' into youtube and found this Moe moe glaDOS!

It's a cover but I love this version. Nice XD Rather different take on the original. I actually prefer most of the songs from the vocaloid itself but some of the songs do just sound better with real singers. ヲタみん is my favourite vocaloid cover singer. I also like the niconico choruses like this one It's great how vocaloid can even be a platform for new singers as well as directors
