As HP aren't making hardware any more, they're selling it all off cheap, including their tablet, the HP Touchpad! It's not quite an iPad but HP's webOS is pretty good and it does most of the same stuff. So from 18:00 tonight (ie now) online or 9am tomorrow in store, you can pick one up at a discounted price! I'm getting one www.computeractive.co.uk/ca/news/2103544/hp-touchpad-price-slashed-gbp430-gbp115

Yea I read about HP thinking liquidating its assets. Didn't know they had touchpads to be honest. I only thought their PC's will drop in price and I'm not that interested in their desktops.
But the huge price slash does sound very tempting. I need to do some reading up on reviews.
Which one you thinking of getting ,16GB or 32GB?

The 32GB. For £115, why not? Although I've tried reserving it from multiple stores on both PC World and Currys and nothing. Had it in my basket the minute it went on sale too! Just going to go down to the shop reeeeally early tomorrow.

I'm leaning more towards the 32GB too. Since the price difference isn't that great compared to what it was before (£80). I'm planning to head into PC world early tomorrow to grab one too.
I've been doing some reading up and here are some interesting info 1. Battery Life: Continuous video playback 8:33 (HP states 9hrs) < iPad2 (10:26) and Galaxy Tab 10.1 (9:55) > Galaxy Tab / iPad / Motorola Xoom / BlackBerry / Dell
Normal use then just over a day. Unlike iPad which lasts (probably) a week with normal use.
2. Browser supports Flash (pre-installed unlike Android) and HTML5
3. Dr Dre Beats speakers
4. 1.2GHz, dual-core Qualcomm processor (smoother video playing/loading)
5. WebOS (Multi-tasking works like a charm)
The downside are there is only 1 micro usb slot, no external memory support, SD camera, heavier than most tablets, start up takes a lot longer than iPad etc. and it does not allot shortcuts.

It isn't quite an iPad or a Samsung Galaxy Tab, no. But £115? It's a decent enough substitute if you can't afford the others.

I'm not a tablet PC convert yet. I wouldn't find an everyday use for them.

Any luck on your tablet hunt?
My internet has been against me all day which makes this even more frustrating.
Amazon prices are going up and down. I suspect a lot of people are buying it at full price hoping HP will pay the price difference like US/HK has announced.

I didn't manage to get one in town. Got to Staples as they sold the last one ;_; I've signed up to a couple of 'alert' things on sites, hopefully I'll get in there pretty quick.

I saw in the activity you followed 4/5 of those alert/online shops at once XD. Hope it goes well for you! I couldn't find any in town either. PC world, Carphone, Comet, Curry's, Staples are all sold out. And you can tell people are selling them on Amazon as soon as they got theirs from the shops as there were a flood of "just registered" members.
I turned to eBay and got mine there in the end. Hope it arrives tomorrow.

I've decided to give up for the time being, haha. I've got a perfectly good laptop. Treated myself to a Gamecube (plus games), Resistance 3 and some booty shorts for the same price
