If the demo and the official site are anything to go by (which I'm sure they are) XIII-2 will have a pretty good soundtrack.

Noo, it's gonna suck Actually, I got to play the first twenty minutes or so before I had to go home and the opening sequence alone is incredible. One of the best openings I've ever seen from a Final Fantasy game and I have played many in my time.

I've seen great improvements so far. The setting all over i sgreat and I like the monster taming part *calls in Behemoth*
It's just a bit frustrating that the areas are pretty linear straight forward again like XIII was. I miss the freedom of older FFs. Sure, the big area will be there again (at least the name is there) but one area *shakes head* the same crap like XIII. I want one big freedom game not one big freedom area.

I want one big freedom game not one big freedom area. It seems free enough to me. It's not quite the same as VIII or IX, for example, but it's probably on a par with X-2 - you can pretty much go anywhere you've got unlocked (and it's pretty quick to unlock different areas). It's better, essentially. But yeah, monster taming rules! And the updated Crystarium is great, especially when it comes to levelling up your monsters.

I've been watching some of the first parts of gameplay on youtube, nice graphics but story confusing xD and the dialogue is all odd and a bit childish?
also those is some ugly ferret cats xD rest looks fine, quite liked the constant battle concept, though bg music is kinda driving me insane (guessing option to turn it down)

CAIT SITH. Cait Sith rules! The story is waaay less confusing than XIII. That was insane.

It's about time travelling and time paradoxes - it has to be confusing Mr. Vash. But while you advance in the story and collect fragments from sidequests and -areas will you gain more background information about the story and the things happening.
Local reviewers are complaining about weird story you can't follow - but I personal think that the story is pretty clear and you can follow it better and better as more you advance in it.
Also does this game has 9,5 different endings. One normal ending, a secret ending (advanced normal ending which I'm counting as 0,5 endings) and 8 "End-Paradox" endings which can be found at different places throughout the story by doing things not the way the story want it to be. Just great ;-)

Oh multiple endings? very nice, more chances to break away from the standard GOOD/BAD ending fad xD think I'll buy FF13 later in the year, it's caught my interest (though have never touched a FF game in my life), also slight possibility of it killing my launch ps3 D: but seriously 1 question to girl gamers, do you see the main companion guy as good looking? becaue I'm looking at Serah and thinking she's been well designed (cute), then I look at the guy next to her and i'm like...bleh am wondering if girls look at it the other way

Hmmm, not bad; I wouldn't say "No" but he hasn't made me think "God damn, yes!" Thanks for the link, Jjos.

He looks like someone snuck into Nomura's office while is was busy not working on Versus and stole a rejected Kingdom Hearts character design.

You can get some of these moments especially if you are doing bonus areas before main areas. There are "unbelievable" things during the mainstory which were explained in the bonus areas for example.
And you often get to choose an answer - and sometimes are some funny ones chooseable as well. Provokes some nice reactions: She: "Have you said something? I wasn't listening." He: "No wonder she has no questions..."

I don't really like that Serah is a main character either. She wasn't that interesting in the first game, and all she managed to do was make me dislike Snow even more.
It probably didn't help when the games announcement prominently featured Lightning. And that the last sequel they made had costumes and transformations.
I think everyone would agree it'd be a lot better as a magical girl rpg starring Lightning.
But whatever I guess, I wont even get the game til it's <£20 since I haven't completed XIII yet.
