I received a phishing e-mail from someone claiming to be a blizzard admin recently. Gmail was smart enough to send it directly to spam, but I check the spam folder regularly because sometimes non-spam gets sent there. Imagine my surprise upon seeing a blizzard mail in there, so blatantly phishy with horrible grammar and spelling. Apparently it's happened rather frequently. The sender is Blizzard Entertainment <wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com> If you receive any e-mail from them claiming that you're attempting to sell your account, your account is stolen, or that you have violated their rule and they'll ban you if you don't act, either ignore it or forward it to hacks@blizzard.com

I get these mails since years. It started some time after I created a trial account years ago and goes on since then. However, the frequence was increased after starting to play StarCraft 2 due to the fact that my account was active once again.
It's just funny how they sent these spams to every battle.net user they can find even if there is no WoW account in backhand *coughs*

I think one of those ended up in my spam folder once. Didn't bother opening it, mainly because I've never played a Blizzard game.

the dating/fb ones annoy me @_@; They're better than the penis enlargement messages. Even internet mail shot servers want to bum me out. There's nothing wrong with being average!

Yeah, I've been getting them since I reactivated my blizzard account for SC2 too. Methinks blizzard needs to keep a hold of their user info better and more securely. They're better than the penis enlargement messages. Speaking of which, for some reason I get a lot of those viagra and enlargement mails that keeps telling me to grow it bigger, when I don't even have one!

I also get those. But at some point I got a real one saying my account was compromised and I need to reset my password. The best thing to do with such mails is to go on those pages on your own. When I get such a mail and I'm concerned then I go to the official page, login and check what's wrong. I never use the links given in the mail!
