I suggest to develop staffs, the ultimate one is way gamebreaking for bosses and farming^^ As in the spirit sprout ones you use for farming or the ones that are used for combat? I have mainly developed the Dual Blades skill for combat. They're so simple to use. The combat staffs require you to keep moving and determine the correct range in order to stay alive. Dual Blades is "Hammer square until dead" The ones for fighting. I said develop not use them, they are crap until the last one. For most of the game I used the lance with the skill that thrust trough the enemy a tons of times and then a final blow that kicks everyone in your way on the ground.

All of you folks playing Ni no Kuni. I'm jealous. It's alright for the first few hours, but the terrible capture mechanic and slow fights made me suddenly remember I had musou trophies to grind.

but the terrible capture mechanic and slow fights At that point should you have stumbled upon that a RPG is more then the fighting mechanic ;-) Sure, to each their own, but to put down a lovely RPG because of one aspect? Just doesn't sound right to me.

Just doesn't sound right to me. Well the problem is that none of the mechanics are that good. The actual game part is typical Level5. When the actual game part starts to feel like a chore only the most amazing of stories would make me want to keep going. Sadly the story is also typical Level5. Level5 for reference are responsible for the slowest Dragon Quests around.

I was playing the Defiance Beta quite a bit this weekend. It feels like a solid TPS with an open world and even the random events work quite well (like in Rift are they getting harder as more players are around in this location). From gameplay and skills and stuff would I rate it upper average, so basicly worth considering if intrested, but....
Since this game shall work together with a TV series that, as far as I know, is only shown in the US in time.. Kinda looses it's big unique marker for the rest of the world that isn't really able to follow the series so that the cross-overs get missing. A bit sad.

Played and finished Bioshock Infinite. The narrative was very strong, the gameplay was solid and the music really set the tone. I think i've found my GOTY. Took a me a day to fully understand that ending, there are very few games where I care about the games story and it's characters but this is one of them.

well Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is showing me the weakness of the Wii U Pad. It only lasts for about 3 hours. It's recharging now and I tuned down the brightness and activated energy saving mode. Let's see how it'll hold up then.
