anyone catch the Playstation 2013 conference, I only caught the end where they announced bungie was tagging along (instantly thought WHAT HALO? then realised they have other games... lol)
1 thing that worries me, joystiq article explains ps4 will auto download games that it 'learns' from you're gaming behaviour, if this is true then skynet ps4 will utterly smash everyone's internet xD
control looks a bit funky, but when the hell did dual shock ps3 controller cost £48!! >!>?! O.O (argos) lol

Didn't watch the conference. I'll be reading the news today. I hope they didn't put in too much always-online-controlling-you-suspecting-you-ban-everyone stuff like the rumors about PS4 being required to be always online, costs for playing online and games being bound to your account. These might be things I don't really mind, but I don't really want to support the evil plans of the majors...

As far as I can tell (based on what my friend send me tonight): - you need to use your clear/real name - finger print - Facebook included - a Kinect copy - touchscreen pad - auto download of games - seems like advertising is included - old PS games (PSX to PS Vita) shall be streamable - including backside touchpad (like Vita) and Facebook Button - PS4 base menu - Kinect copy

lol @ fingerprint Are we talking about the fingerprint like in putting your finger on a field to verify yourself? Never heard of that. And I heard auto download is for patches. Games won't be downloaded without your consensus. They'll check your gaming behaviour and offer games in the store, but no auto downloading them. This would be plain stupid. Imaging your 500GB HDD getting full... btw: why no PS4 thread?

Yes, fingerprint like identify yourself.
As written, I got these infos send by a friend who stayed up all night to watch the conference during the conference. I haven't checked on anything myself.

lol fingerprint ...authentication? for dlc/game purchases perhaps, they were not kidding about the crackdown on used games lmao xD
Hating that share button and the whole concept, don't mind it posting to Fb (twiiter would be nice) but don't want fb in my face during gaming, and that menu jjos posted looks like a nightmare :/
@dan, you're right *wild thread appears* Not sure I will touch the ps4 at release, not after the entire ps3 ylod generation.

Games from previous sony consoles will be streamed via Gaikai service. You can play them on PS4 but I guess you will need to pay a monthly fee or something.
I just watched all the game trailers. Somehow I think they want to trick us with prerendered videos with fake gameplay elements, e.g. Deep Down from Capcom, amazing graphics and at the bottom you could see a hud element which suggest someone playing switching weapons and so on. Also they used camera angels which suggested someone playing, but I won't believe that that was ingame graphic. Also all trailers were in 480p, so you couldn't make out aliasing issues or muddy textures. They were just presenting effects, details and physics. Knack also had overall 1 second gameplay shown, the rest was sequences...
Some important sony guy (I can't remember names from people I don't care about) was quoted to have said that you can play used games on PS4.

As far as I heard from my friend shall Ubisoft's Watchdogs be the best showing during this conference - with someone stating by accident that they are showing the PC version *coughs* Aliens: Colonial Marines anyone? ;-P
And I'm not surprised about the missing disc compability. I mean, they took away the possibility to play PS2 disc on the PS3 and started a year later to sell PS2 games via the store. I was surprised that they haven't taken PSX games away the same way. Well, now have they done it.

Seems like they are copying XBox Live Gold too - 89 EUR per year.
And still no decision on whether blocking used games or not.

Weird direction they're taking with this..... could be semi flop :/ we don't even know what it looks like, just 1 certainty though, no more than 2 usb ports lol Better look good for all this anticipation and non ps3 disk/second hand/ always on social streaming bs :/

um, to make it clear: there is no real statement on second hand games, but sony people were quoted to have said you can play second hand games; social stuff is optional. Just wait for another presentation on E3 or for release.

As far as I learned was there no statement against used game copies (yet) - however, they had to make their copy-protection public which is a combination of access-key and PS-account.
So basicly is their copy-protection automatically also a protection against used copies at all, even if not intended.
