This new trailer is just too good. I'm not sure I'll be able to wait for the English release D:

So I think we can all thank SUPER ME for the fact that today One Piece Pirate Warriors got a November 2012 release in EU/US.

For a musou game the character count is abysmally small. There are only a handful of non-straw hat playable characters. Stage amount it okay, goes from the Baratie to the Marineford arc though skips skypiea, thriller bark, and the davy back fight.
I enjoyed it quite a bit, but certainly with the musou levels more than the adventure levels. It's an interesting idea, but its mostly awkward jumps and QTEs.

I think you'll enjoy it Jjos; you enjoy musou games and One Piece after all.
Playable arcs are the first fight against Buggy, Baratie, Arlong Park, Drum Island, Alabasta, Water Seven, Enis Lobby, Sabody & Marineford.
Playable characters are the Stawhats (Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, Chopper, Robin, Franky & Brooke) along with Ace, Whitebeard, Boa Hancock and Jimbe.
I enjoyed it however, I get the impression that content was held back so that it could be sold as DLC or packaged into a sequel.

Well, I've seen lots of DLC for this game the last 3 or 4 weeks already. Always containing a costume for one single character combined with one single additional stage ... and that for 3 EUR per DLC (which, considering the mass of the DLCs, are nearly worth a new game already ...). Still a bit unsure to be honest - the amount of characters seems a little to low to me *thinks*

There is really place for improvement. Some of the enemies were field characters during Impel Down, so they have an own movement set - which is the base for a playable character. So why aren't they playable after all? *shakes head* But I like that in additional logs the main story "Action" levels are now "Musou" levels for the other characters *thumbs up* Good old DW style! But all together could there the one or other island more in this game (storywise and all together). And I miss my German voice actors *sniff* but at least German subtitles - an improvement from WO3 with english ones on japanese voices.

Because of a kinda unique voice or an accent he may have in Englisch? Awww, bless! You think we got far enough in the English dub to meet Franky. Perhaps because I'm not particularly tuned into the language (I only know a little bit of German) but to me German dubs of anime often sound like there is very little variation between voices. Yes, Luffy's stood out quite a bit there, but Franky, Sanji and Zoro felt quite...interchangeable. Nothing too unique about the voices. The German dub of Gundam 00 had a similar situation.

Would have thought that englisch would be way ahead compared to use. I'm still waiting for episodes 400+ to be translated. Never watched beyond 399 - so had the game of course new story informations for me.

I didn't realise that was dubbed; I haven't played it and I had assumed it was subbed. Would have thought that englisch would be way ahead compared to use. I'm still waiting for episodes 400+ to be translated. Never watched beyond 399 - so had the game of course new story informations for me. The furthest we got in series here in the UK was Alabasta with the 4kids dub, America got slightly further into Skypia with the later Funimation dub but that never came over here. One Piece is seen as a risky sell in some English speaking territories.
