Hmm... hard to believe that such a game will be realesed uncut over here.
It happens quite often, that a game for Germany will be titled "uncut" but in the end would there be nothing that needed to be cutted. Latest example would be Brink: 100% Uncut is big written on the cover - but Brink got an USK 16 so nothing near the area of even being questionable. I can't remember any "100% Uncut" game that really had questionable content. You could tell this phrase "marketing action" over here in my opinion.
However.. in combination with a RE title *thinks* I still own my PSX copy of RE3: Nemesis which got banned over here sometime. Hard to believe that they are able to push a 100% uncut RE that is told to be cruel through our USK.

Could this be the first step towards a Germany that starts accepting violence in their games? Or just a one off that will be met with condemnation and irrational claims by those who haven't even played it? Only time will tell, but no doubt the German tabloids will have something to say about it. *Keeps an eye on "Das Bild"*

Well, Germany and violence are a no-go - just as the USA and sex.
I remember a BMX driving game for the PS2 *thinks* guess it was named BMXXX or something. With innovative engine for extreme bouncing boobs. Got USK 12 over here if I recall correctly but was hard discussed and attacked in the USA. Not to mention the "Alien Porn Simulator" Mass Effect!
Violence games over here are always be attacked when an amok attack happens in schools (however, the last one is some time beyond but we had a lot the last 10 years - and everyone played CounterStrike!!!!!). One year did all shout for a game burning. Haven't found the pictures I was searching for... There was one showing the result: a big container filled with 3 games. 2 medium bad games from a family and one copy of a banned game thrown in from a group of videogamers to show them what a bad game really is.

The organisers went a bit quiet after that... The UK is a little of both: The media will kick up a fuss if there's too much violence or sexual content but the industry 95% of the time just shruggs and carries on. The only exception that jumps to mind is Manhunt 2 after a fan of the original Manhunt went a lopped someone's head off.

Yea, I think a classic case would be the ManHunt titles, maybe GTA too?
Oh and the developers has confirmed that they are bringing Shinobi onto 3DS.

A little update on Sega's Shinobi game. Huge Disappointment. It's basically a side-scroller, occasionally you'd jump on enemies and the battle sequence becomes 3D as the camera pans around you.

The guys on the site in my signature are going gaga going a new Shinobi game. Never really enjoyed them myself.

I can't imagine why Europe would be excluded: Nintendo of Europe has been improving over the past few years. As long as we get the Pokédex I'll be happy.
