The funny thing is, they've found the right way to do releases but managed to completely F*** it up in their execution.
Make the Super edition £15 DLC? Good idea Free Colours and Gems DLC? Good idea 75p costumes that you can buy per character or as a bundle? Good idea. Enable people who haven't bought the DLC to still see it online without a DLC content patch, that as MK9 proved, doesn't work? Good idea.
Where they F***ed up though is that all of this is already on the disc that I own, and I just have to wait a pointless amount of time, and then pay for nothing but an unlock key. To add insult to injury colour edit mode as it is now is completely worthless, you can't make any personal customization when you only have 4 colours to choose from.

Exactly: Capcom - in my view - always gives the impression that the development teams, producers etc always mean well but then some git in marketing comes in and twists their arms into locking content away or simply says "NOPE!" to a localised release of a game.

Well, I doubt it's someone in Marketing. More than likely it's the higher ups that make decisions based on greed.

Yes, yes, either way, it's unlikely to be the choice of someone linked directly with game development. The fact that DLC characters Guy and Cody were prominently featured in one of the earlier trailers - the one with King, Marduk, Hugo and Poison - suggests to me that they were due to be included as a part of the original roster.

I doubt that since their rivals weren't shown at all. It's hard to say though since all the DLC characters are in a perfectly playable state locked away on the disc.

But then why would they have been shown at all? Not sure, could be to tease their eventual inclusion by having them show up during the trailer of other Final Fight characters.
